By using the Coral Identifier website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the website.

These terms apply only to the website at getcoralidentifier.com. The website may describe or link to the Coral Identifier mobile app, Apple App Store, Google Play, and other third-party pages, but those separate experiences are not governed by these website Terms of Use.

These terms work together with our Privacy Policy.

The Coral Identifier website provides reef aquarium educational content, coral guides, coral database pages, practical tools, and download links.

The website may discuss photo-based coral identification and the Coral Identifier app, but the website itself does not provide web-based photo scanning, saved scans, or user accounts.

Website calculators and checkers produce estimates from the values and options you enter. They are planning aids, not instructions that apply perfectly to every aquarium, coral, salt mix, lighting setup, or livestock situation.

Coral Identifier content is for educational reef aquarium use. It is not veterinary, scientific, professional husbandry, commercial purchasing, safety, legal, or financial advice.

Before making important care, livestock, compatibility, placement, treatment, medication, dosing, buying, selling, or safety decisions, verify information with trusted references, experienced reef keepers, product labels, and direct observation of the coral and aquarium.

You are responsible for the values, search terms, and selections you enter into website tools and search interfaces.

The website currently does not provide user accounts, newsletter signup, contact forms, payments, or web-based photo upload. Do not enter personal, sensitive, or confidential information into website tools.

You agree not to:

• use Coral Identifier for unlawful, harmful, or abusive activity;
• enter content that violates another person's rights;
• enter personal, sensitive, or confidential information into website tools;
• attempt to disrupt, scrape, reverse engineer, or overload the service;
• present website content or calculator results as guaranteed scientific guidance;
• use the website to make unsafe decisions about animals, people, toxins, handling, or commercial claims without independent verification.

The website links to Apple App Store, Google Play, reference sources, license pages, and other third-party pages. If you open those links, your use of those pages is governed by the third party's own terms, policies, account rules, and privacy practices.

Coral Identifier may rely on third-party services for website hosting, analytics, and related infrastructure. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.

Some coral reference photos, citations, store links, app store pages, source pages, and license pages may come from third parties. Their content, licenses, availability, and accuracy are controlled by those third parties.

We may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue parts of Coral Identifier at any time. We may also update content, routes, and tools as the website evolves.

We may block, limit, or suspend access if we believe use of Coral Identifier is unlawful, abusive, security-sensitive, automated in a way that harms the service, or inconsistent with these terms.

The Coral Identifier name, website, written content, design, data structure, and related materials are owned by Coral Identifier or its licensors, except where third-party content is credited or otherwise indicated.

You may use the website for personal reef aquarium reference. You may not copy, republish, sell, or reuse substantial parts of the service without permission, except where allowed by law.

Coral Identifier is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, current, or suitable for every reef aquarium situation.

Coral identification and reef planning are inherently uncertain. You are responsible for your own care, purchase, sale, placement, compatibility, and handling decisions.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Coral Identifier will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for losses related to coral health, aquarium livestock, aquarium equipment, purchases, sales, business activity, data, or reliance on website content, calculators, or external links.

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with the updated date above. Continued use of the website after changes means you accept the updated terms.
